Consumers and advertisers aren’t buying Rush Limbaugh’s apology to Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown law student he accused of being a “slut” and a “prostitute” for advocating that the government mandate that health insurance cover birth control. More brands announced Tuesday that they are pulling ads from Limbaugh’s show, bringing the number to almost 20. The Daily Beast’s John Avlon says it couldn’t come at a worse time for Rush, who is already facing the decline of talk radio ratings.

  2. Let this be a lesson to anyone who depend on the people for support, whether as consumers or otherwise. There comes a time when the people say enough is enough. This might be the end of the Rush/EIB era.

  3. The free market, both economically, and of ideas, in action. I imagine there are already millions of “conservatives”/Republicans loudly crying about their freedom of speech being “attacked”…
