BRING THE BOYS HOME!

MR. PRESIDENT, WE ARE NOT MAKING ENOUGH PROGRESS TRAINING THE AFGHANI SOLDIERS. SOME SAY THEY WILL NOT BE READY IN 2014. WE CANNOT AFFORD THIS WAR. OUR ECONOMY IS ON A PRECIPICE. LET’S LEAVE HONORABLY.

  1. I know what you mean but, we (as in the US) went into Afghanistan nine years ago and gave hope to many Afghans (BTW, Afghani refers to the currency not people), if we up and leave them weakened and at the mercy of the Taliban, they will be worse off than before. We lost focus when we ventured into Iraq it’s time to get that focus back. There are people there that need us (and want our help, I’ve had the pleasure and honor of meeting many of them and I also worked with Afghan soldiers, I believe the *real* reason that they won’t be ready by 2014 is not that they cannot be trained, it’s that the trainers don’t want to leave…Afghanistan is a cash cow for a a lot of major players).

On another note, we cannot afford to bring our military members home to our current employment situation (just got back from Afghanistan in October, unemployed since).

    We need a real solution.

    1. Thanks for your comments. I just learned that I can reply to you. Sorry for the delay. That Afghani thing is a common mistake I learned from TV. You are right. Where will be the jobs for returning soldiers? They might have stay in the service for awhile(?) MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
