Today President Obama will sign the Repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” The Administration will not admit it, but “no one has been separated from the military since the fall.” [Said a pundit.] The general public AND GAYS IN THE MILITARY are cautioned that it will take months for this civil right to be fully realized. The powers that be think that our rough and tough military need to be gently moved into social change. Hooey! But, it is what it is. Personally, I think that we train our marines, e.g., to be more heroic fighters that are not easily distracted by a gay fellow soldier. Social change in America is gradual. Before we know it, we’ll remark later, all gay men and women in the military will have come out of the closet. The beauty of it all is that they will be judged and respected for their character and abilities to perform assigned duties. They will advance in rank on merit. GOD BLESS THE USA!
