Where is our Government in Time of Crisis?

Mr. President, we are still in crisis. Witness the ups and downs of the stock market.  WE NEED STABILITY that comes when our President and Congress are fighting to right the Ship of State.  At present we are floating with no highly visible captain at the wheel. Sir, your job is to tend that wheel, set a course for safe waters and inspire complete confidence in those on board.  Do you have a jobs plan?  Are you working on one?  Your 10 minute speech this week was inadequate to allay fears. Please, sir, answer the call!  If you have concrete plans of action, call The Congress back to Washington to let the Nation see that our government is still strong and healthy and working on problems of the day.

                         Last night on the show

“So, Mitt Romney is Thurston Howell III, right? So, does that mean Jon Huntsman is the professor, even though he has a lot of money because he believes in global warming and he believes in evolution? Then Michele Bachmann could be Maryann, Sarah Palin, of course, is Ginger.” – Eugene Robinson, columnist for “The Washington Post” and MSNBC political analyst, comparing 2012 Republican presidential candidates to characters on “Gilligan’s Island

Upgrading Our Nuclear Infrastructure = JOBS!

Nuclear Accident Japan | Fukushima Reactor

Mr. President, the nuclear crisis in Japan made us aware that the same over 30 years old nuclear energy plants are all over the US.  The NRC says that our plants are safe, but, WE NEED NEW AND SAFER TECHNOLOGY.  We’d hope that the tragedy in Japan would have sparked your administration to come up with an infrastructure plan that includes these energy production plants.

We were lucky yesterday. Perhaps that was Fate giving us a nudge.  We need to start working on repairing and upgrading our infrastructure.  Mr. President, you keep saying you will focus anew on infrastructure, but we are still waiting for action.  We are living in a country that is falling apart. Past Presidents have not done their job.! Congress is addicted to gridlock. Not enough Americans have an interest in protesting to the government and to the politicians they send to Washington. [It’s so easy to email Congress.CLICK HERE!]  If the people are silent, then they get the government they deserve!

Many of us advocate for causes which does not require large amounts of time or effort. “As of August 23, 2011, the United States has a total resident population of 312,022,000, making it the third most populous country in the world.” [Wikipedia] Can you imagine the attention Washington would give their jobs if every American emailed their senator, representative and the President?  Why we could create the many jobs it would take to read it all! If only we would do a campaign for just one week, the payoff would be enormous!  My fellow Americans, we are at a perilous time in our history.  Our system of government has gone toxic. Our economy slumps! Our buildings and roads have been neglected for quite a while. Instead of repairing our roads, we sell them to foreign governments! Recent Presidents have kept the country from danger from the outside while we crumble on  the inside. If we ALL don’t do something, get involved, we will lose our country to decay through indifference. YOU MUST GIVE A DAMN!

LET’S MAKE A CAMPAIGN!

As you enjoy Labor Day, September 5, let all of us Americans take 5 minutes and click here and send a message expressing our concerns, fears and outrage to those who run our government in Washington, DC! [THE SOFTWARE WILL FIND THE RIGHT POLITICIAN FOR YOU TO EMAIL.]  THANKS, CITIZEN!
