Matthews: Rejection of Obama Is Loss of American Exceptionalism & Assimilation— Joe Gerarden

It is hard for this black person to find a reason…other than racism… why republicans hate President Obama.  I was amazed that Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) called President Obama a liar on national TV while he was giving the State of the Union address.  I thought that South Carolina had come a long way from racism and segregation…and the like…when they elected a person of color as governor, Nikki Haley (R), an east indian.  Mr. Wilson’s excitable utterance is telling. Have you watched Rep. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) when he talks about the President, especially when he talks of making him “a one term President?  His lips are dripping with racism and hate.  Of course, you have seen the almost viral attack by Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) where he says, “President Obama should stop lying…” Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MI) is probably restrained by her upbringing from showing out-and-out hatred when she leads her supporters in her chant, let’s “make President Obama a one term President.” [slow cadence]  Barack Husein Obama is the living embodiment of the promise of America and the much espoused set of “American values.” This is what draws immigrants to our shores. Even people of color want to come here for our freedom which is not matched by degree in equality. Watch this stimulating video which celebrates Barack Obama’s American Exceptionalism:

I spent my adult life in New York City. While traveling in 1985 through North Carolina, a mature white saleslady said to me, “May I help you, sir?”  I was shocked that the South had come that far in civil discourse and race relations.  The election of a black President was inconceivable to slave masters of the day, but, they did fear an educated Negro.  But, even now in the 21st Century, we see hate coming from the primarily white Republican Party.  I think it bothers them that he masters english better than they do 🙂

President Obama will be in the well of The House on Thursday evening giving another address.  Will republicans give respect to the Office if not the man?

PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT WARNS AGAINST ELECTING REPUBLICANS

PRESIDENT FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT WARNS AGAINST ELECTING SMOOTH REPUBLICANS IN HIS DAY WHICH IS SO APROPOS TODAY

LOOK OUT TEA PARTY – THIS IS FOR YOU!

THANK YOU, GOD FOR PRESERVING THIS VIDEO!

FDR was speaking to the Tea Party of his day. The people had his back and his enemies hated him for it. His candidacy was a precursor to the situation we are in today. The Speaker of the House and some of his members continue to insult the President of the United States. Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) started the unheard of chorus by calling the President a liar during his State of the Union. Why all this hate? Because he is black?  Because he is not white? Because he is the best speaker in politics today? Because his campaign was so new and spectacular? Because he is a Harvard graduate?  Because he is rich and yet champions the issues of the middle-class and the poor…like the Kennedy‘s who are white?  Because this millionaire doesn’t spending each waking hour scheming to become a billionaire?  History will tell us. President Roosevelt told us how we and our President should feel about the Tea Party.  They are few, full of ideology and would run the nation into a ditch so long as they got their way. And, without compromising in negotiations.  Is it too strong to call the Tea Party the enemy of the majority of American people?  The answer is in each of our hearts.  This is your Republican party of today who are jumping on the Tea Party bandwagon. Some of these rogue politicians are:

The Tea Party means well, I suppose.  They have opinions and express them with the right guaranteed them by The Constitution.  But, they do not represent the MAJORITY of the American people.  Witness recent opinion recent polls. I don’t know what they are telling you on FoxNews, but, I am told that they are themselves a conservative republican outlet that the FEC inexplicably allows to operate and collect campaign money.  While one may think MSNBC as liberal, they do not select candidates and support their campaign with skewed “news”.  Mere mortals do not know how a TV station can be a powerful political entity.  The images above are only a sampling of those who are active Tea Party supporters.  They seek to appropriate their energy.  What is the antidote to the Tea Party? The ballot box.  Vote democratic in the next elections!
