May God bless those who care about the welfare and prosperity of others.

Thinking Out Loud

I have to be honest. I am the type of person who doesn’t radiate a lot optimism when it comes to my own personal prayer requests, but when it comes to your prayer concerns, I believe in the limitless power of God to do anything — absolutely anything — even when the doctors, business consultants and marriage counselors have said there is no room for hope.

I’ve also encouraged my kids to pray and to ever be trying to enlarge our prayer circle beyond our own immediate family needs, which frequently means they are praying for people they have never met, or as is the case today, a person who I had never met.

She was the wife of a sales rep of a guy who calls on our store representing a large Christian publishing company. When we first met seven years ago, she had just been diagnosed with breast…

Mitt Romney Uses Tactic from Karl Rove Hit List

Mitt Romney, who is too cowardly to face questions from the press, is using one of the tactics he learned from Karl Rove, strategist and head of a top SuperPac.  The tactic is to take your opponent’s weaknesses and vehemently accuse your opponent of having them.  Get the spot light of the media off of you and on to the opponent. The people’s greatest advocate is the press.  Will they shirk their responsibility and let Mitt Romney run unvetted and hiding secrets about his plans as president.

Watch this video where Romney uses the aforementioned tactic from Karl Rove:

Mitt Romney Critiques Obama While He (Romney) Hides from the Press

I don’t see why the press is giving Mitt Romney a pass.  They have been able to question “cowardly lion” political candidates in the past.  Why should Romney get to run for President of the USA and not be vetted by the media who ask the questions on the minds of the  people? [That is their raison d’être.]  When he deigns to speak publicly, Mitt Romney tries to make the election about Barack Obama.  This strategy allows his to hold secret his ideas for improving the economy and creating jobs…if he has any.  The American voter is a sentient being and needs answers before choosing to vote for a President.  Many think that what little we know about Romney’s ideas for the economy is that if implemented, Mitt could vaunt GOP rhetoric, slogans and lies while the country spirals into another Great Depression as shown in this collage:

President Mitt Romney’s secret plans have sent America down the suck-hole of failure leading to another Great Depression.  Romney is hold up in one of his luxurious mansions.

Time to hoist the flag! June 14, 2012…or all week!

What do people do?

Flag Day falls within National Flag Week, a time when Americans reflect on the foundations of the nation’s freedom. The flag of the United States represents freedom and has been an enduring symbol of the country’s ideals since its early days. During both events, Americans also remember their loyalty to the nation, reaffirm their belief in liberty and justice, and observe the nation’s unity.

Many people in the United States honor this day by displaying the American flag at homes and public buildings. Other popular ways of observing this holiday include: flag-raising ceremonies; Flag Day services; school quizzes and essay competitions about the American flag; musical salutes; street parades; and awards for special recognition.

Organizations such as The National Flag Day Foundation are actively involved in coordinating activities centered on the event and keeping the flag’s traditions alive. Following Flag Day is Honor America Days, a 21-day period through to Independence Day (July 4) to honor America. During this period, people hold public gatherings and activities to celebrate and honor the nation.

Public life

Although Flag Day is a nationwide observance, it is not a public holiday in many parts of the United States. It is a legal holiday in a few areas in the USA, such as Montour County in Pennsylvania. [Quote]
