“Right now our priority needs to be giving middle class Americans and small businesses the security they deserve.”
The president blamed the current tax cuts for causing the deficit, and added that an overall Bush tax cut extension is “least likely to promote growth-we can’t afford to keep that up, not right now. I just believe that anybody making over $250,000 should go back to the income tax rates we were paying under Bill Clinton.”

Speaker John Boehner and now Mitt Romney enjoy talking about the job creators and their role in our politics. They all have failed America. They received the Bush Tax Cuts promising that they would make them create jobs. Well, they received the tax cuts, but, they have not created the jobs we sorely need in our sluggish economy. What do you call people who take money without delivering the goods? THIEVES! They should take a little risk and c r e a t e j o b s !
On the three dominant American television networks, weather stories have consumed much attention for the first half of 2012, and arguably have been increasing over the past several years.
Are things truly getting worse or does the media simply bring existing conditions into sharper focus?
While some like to argue with the sensationalism needed to earn ratings for the networks’ 6:30 PM newscasts, there is nothing subjective about terms like “record heat,” “record rainfall,” or “record drought.”
Furthermore, because of our modern dependence on technology, the winds, the fires, the ice storms, or the simply strain of air conditioning systems all result in knocking out electrical power systems; leaving people either shivering in winter or baking in the summer heat.

I never thought I would say it, but, I miss the Republican Primary Campaigns. There was so much to write about, so much to be angry about, so much to roil against and so many zealots who caused general angst in the body politic. Democrats don’t have that process to go through to re-elect President Barack Obama. Perhaps our donations are lagging is because Obama has not fueled the fires of progressive indignation and grow our passion for winning the White House. We need to get mad! Mad about our do-nothing Congress. Mad about the war on the President because he is black. (That war was declared by incumbent Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.) The other generals in the GOP war are Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader, Eric Cantor.
Mr. President, we need a cause to whip up support and channel our collective anger about what Republicans are doing to our government and us who pay the bills. Congress is bought by special interests and big money. The chief special interest is self-preservation. If we don’t all get in the game, we have no hope of changing the status quo. Why hasn’t Atty. Gen. Eric Holder not been on TV keeping us abreast of his success at fighting those who work to suppress the vote in the Presidential Election? Where is the Democratic campaign to explain Obamacare in simple and real terms? Yes, there are speeches and website posts, but, I recently watched people on the street being interviewed who were clueless about the law and how it affects them. Mr. President, the US Supreme Court gave you a “W”. The ball is in your court. We have 121 days to produce “Son-of-2008” and win re-election.
