ATTY GEN HOLDER WILL GO TO FERGUSON, MISSOURI
CNN
President Barack Obama said Attorney General Eric Holder will travel to Ferguson, Missouri, this week amid a federal civil rights investigation into the shooting death of Michael Brown.
The President said that violence in protests undermines justice and that he is being careful about not prejudging events before investigations are completed. Obama also said that “in too many communities, too many young men of color are left behind and seen only as objects of fear.”
Evidence in the shooting death could be presented to a grand jury as early as Wednesday, a spokesman for the St. Louis County prosecuting attorney said.
