Donna Brazile, the former Democratic National Committee chair who accused the DNC of essentially rigging the 2016 presidential primary for Hillary Clinton, has a new and perhaps surprising gig: Fox News contributor.

“I know I’m going to get criticized from my friends in the progressive movement for being on Fox News,” Brazile said in a statement obtained by Variety.

“My response is that, if we’ve learned anything from the 2016 election, it is that we can’t have a country where we don’t talk to those who disagree with our political views. There’s an audience on Fox News that doesn’t hear enough from Democrats. We have to engage that audience and show Americans of every stripe what we stand for rather than retreat into our ‘safe spaces’ where we simply agree with each other.”

She added reassurance to her supporters: “You can be darn sure that I’m still going to be me on Fox News. I’m going to do what I always do: and dish it out straight, exactly as I see it, with just as much New Orleans hot sauce as folks expect.” She elaborated on her excitement to join Fox in a column published on the media outlet’s website.

She’ll be offering political analysis on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, in both daytime and primetime. She debuted on Monday’s Daily Briefing With Dana Perino, per Fox.

Brazile, a longtime Democratic political operative, used to contribute at CNN and ABC News before she was named interim chair of the DNC; she also participated in every presidential campaign from 1976 through 2000 and has authored two books.

(Brazile says her critics can “go to hell.”)

“Opinion: Election Nullification Petition Is Distributed To SCOTUS Justices”

Last month three Americans filed a petition with the Supreme Court of the United States for a “writ of mandamus” asking the High Court Justices to take “mandatory action” in what is called “the nature of public duty.” FisherShannon at Daily Kos first reported a couple of weeks ago that the “hopeful” document was filed by Diane Blumstein, Donna Soodalter-Toman, and Nancy Goodman, and that the petition was assigned a docket number, 16-907. The filers had waited for the High Court to render a decision on whether or not to even look at the filing, a decision the Court promised by February 21, 2017.

On Wednesday, that decision was rendered when the petition was distributed to the High Court’s Justices for a conference scheduled for March 17, 2017.  MORE
