I just saw a chart on “MorningJoe” that said:
2011 Budget Breakdown
$352 Million – CBO Estimate
PAUL RYAN, GOP BUDGET CHAIR, YOU OWE US AN EXPLANATION!
$38 Billion – Original Estimate
We are paying $4/gal. at the gas pump and prices are rising at the grocery store. Wages remain stagnant. Taxes are relentless! Wallets are empty. 😦 How are we to survive? We work hard for our money but it just not enough to pay our country’s bills. We pay our fair share in taxes. Whenever The Congress needs to reform government, it is on our backs! Eric Cantor and John Boehner said, before the compromise meetings begin: “We don’t have a revenue problem. We have a spending problem.” This leads me to ask, “If we don’t have a revenue problem, why are we borrowing money from China and other countries to pay our bills? WHY CAN’T WE PAY FOR THE WAR IN AFGHANISTAN OUT OF OUR REVENUE? Why did we have to cut back on our food stamp program? Why do you republicans want to cut back on heating assistance to the poor…if we don’t have a revenue problem? JUST WHO DO YOU REPRESENT, MR. SPEAKER AND MR. GOPLeader?” Republican power brokers gave us George W. Bush as President and he led our country into a financial ditch!
As we speak, corporate CEOs, big oil companies, Wall Street banks, defense contractors and every other special interest you can think of is trying to buy access to and influence over our elected officials. They want to drown our the voices of everyday citizens like you and me.
We need to come together and stop this hostile takeover.

Republicans, Poor People Vote, Too!
Well, enough is enough! WE MUST HAVE “SHARED SACRIFICE!” Congress must raise taxes on the rich. They got a windfall tax cut in the last Congress without deserving it. Those days must end. The rich can easily afford to pay more than their current share of taxes. Serious members of The Congress must do away with the loopholes and subsidies which allow rich people and corporations to pay little in taxes or avoid taxes entirely! You remember the indignity of GE when we learned that they paid NO TAXES IN 2010.
Eye Candy - Not a Real Oil Rig Worker 🙂
The corporations that sell us oil are the most profitable in the US. And, yet, republicans want us to continue giving them subsidies. Does Exxon/Mobil really need government welfare? We on Social Security have not had a cost-of-living increase in two years, yet oil subsidies continue!
But, perhaps you don’t want to rock the boat(?) Perhaps you want the rich to stay rich at your expense…literally(?) I don’t think so. While you sit there in a comfortable computer chair, take five minutes and fire off an email to the President and The Congress telling them YOU WANT RICH PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SHARED SACRIFICE! It is a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY!
THE RICH HAVE ABUSED THIS COUNTRY FOREVER!
