A SURPRISE FROM FOX NEWS

FOX NEWS

Donna Brazile, the former Democratic National Committee chair who accused the DNC of essentially rigging the 2016 presidential primary for Hillary Clinton, has a new and perhaps surprising gig: Fox News contributor.

“I know I’m going to get criticized from my friends in the progressive movement for being on Fox News,” Brazile said in a statement obtained by Variety.

“My response is that, if we’ve learned anything from the 2016 election, it is that we can’t have a country where we don’t talk to those who disagree with our political views. There’s an audience on Fox News that doesn’t hear enough from Democrats. We have to engage that audience and show Americans of every stripe what we stand for rather than retreat into our ‘safe spaces’ where we simply agree with each other.”

She added reassurance to her supporters: “You can be darn sure that I’m still going to be me on Fox News. I’m going to do what I always do: and dish it out straight, exactly as I see it, with just as much New Orleans hot sauce as folks expect.” She elaborated on her excitement to join Fox in a column published on the media outlet’s website.

She’ll be offering political analysis on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, in both daytime and primetime. She debuted on Monday’s Daily Briefing With Dana Perino, per Fox.

Brazile, a longtime Democratic political operative, used to contribute at CNN and ABC News before she was named interim chair of the DNC; she also participated in every presidential campaign from 1976 through 2000 and has authored two books.

(Brazile says her critics can “go to hell.”)

“Inside Hillary Clinton’s Secret Takeover of the DNC”

“Before I called Bernie Sanders, I lit a candle in my living room and put on some gospel music. I wanted to center myself for what I knew would be an emotional phone call.

I had promised Bernie when I took the helm of the Democratic National Committee after the convention that I would get to the bottom of whether Hillary Clinton’s team had rigged the nomination process, as a cache of emails stolen by Russian hackers and posted online had suggested. I’d had my suspicions from the moment I walked in the door of the DNC a month or so earlier, based on the leaked emails. But who knew if some of them might have been forged? I needed to have solid proof, and so did Bernie. MORE
